Aside from adding a new model in the Mustang line up, Ford is also introducing another notable pick-up truck later this year: the 2015 F-150.

The new Ford F150 boasts of several new technologies, some of which are considered the firsts in the automotive industry.
One of the most considerable change and difference of the 2015 Ford F-150 is that this truck now has an all-aluminum body. When steel of the same thickness as aluminum is compared to aluminum itself, the latter is considered a “stronger” metal and exhibits better stringency properties. Using the same basis for comparison, aluminum has also been found to be much lighter than steel; as such, aluminum panels are thinner and lighter and also stronger at the same time. Lastly, aluminum resists rust more readily than steel.

Because the 2015 Ford F-150 is considerably lighter, it is capable of reducing fuel consumption, increase towing and payload capability, has an improved braking performance and has a greater ability to reduce greenhouse emissions.
In addition, to the great change in weight, Ford has reduced the size of their popular EcoBoost engine from 3.7-litres to 3.5-litres. And because of this innovation, you will see a remarkable decrease in the truck’s engine mass, fuel consumption and greenhouse emissions.
The new F-150 also has these other great innovations: Active Grills Shutters, Stop/Start technology and a new 2.7-litre EcoBoost engine.
In addition, to the great change in weight, Ford has reduced the size of their popular EcoBoost engine from 3.7-litres to 3.5-litres. And because of this innovation, you will see a remarkable decrease in the truck’s engine mass, fuel consumption and greenhouse emissions.
